Team I was disappointed that we did not win on the night. A disqualification cost us dearly and we lost out to Louth by just two points. Luckily we were unbeaten for the whole of the season before that, which meant that we carried a big points lead into the final gala, enabling us to win the League. So well done to everybody involved. It always adds bit of spice when the A and B teams meet. There were some great swims in the B team who turned over the A team in a number of events proving that inter-club competition is healthy. It was nice to see Rhys Cox back swimming for Boston and proving he is as good as ever turning over Patrick Ikhena in the A team who also swam a PB. I'll let Sarah decide the Swimmer of the Meet for the B team. Rebecca Craven swam 2 PB's in the 100m Breaststroke and 200m IM, as did Ose Ikhena in the 100m Freestyle and 100m Butterfly. Our fly swimmers looked good with both Zak Lomas and Laura Swain improving their best times and achieving victory. After a slow start, Joe Morris stormed the 50m Breaststroke in a big PB winning comfortably. Michael Craven carried on his good form with another PB in the 200m IM. Two swims that stood out
for me came from Amelia Murfin and Paige Royce. Well, done to all. Ian |
