Team at Boston A convincing win for the A team and we look well on course to retain the trophy for another year, so well done everybody! The A team are now three points clear of Wisbech. On the night the A team were turned over by the B team five times; this was due to swimmers dropping out and the selectors not wanting to weaken the B team ensuring that they also have a chance to make the Final. This would be a good achievement for the B team as well as saving the club some money. Fourteen PB's from the A team was a very pleasing result and another 10 from the B. With victory in 17 races from a possible 31 it was not going to be easy to choose a swimmer for this accolade. Swimmer of the Meet goes
to Zak Lomas. He won the Open 100m IM and 50m Freestyle in
best times and won the 15 yrs 100m Breaststroke only 3 tenths off his
best. |

B Team at Boston I was bitterly disappointed with the end result of the 3rd round of the Anglian League. We were holding 3rd place but unfortunately we were disqualified in the relay because of a poor take-over. The final results on the evening were: 5th Louth, 4th Boston B, 3rd St Ives, 2nd Huntingdon and Boston A with another victory. However, looking on the positive side we had 3 wins during the evening; Eleanor Reed in the Open Age 50m Butterfly, Sadie Haines in the 50m Backstroke and Stephanie Goodale in the 100m Backstroke. It is never easy for the B Team when they swim against the A Team as victories are not easy to come by, so well done to those swimmers. The swimmer who really caught my eye, and is Swimmer of the Meet for the B Team, is Emma Penniston who swam the 200m Individual Medley gaining a 7 second PB and beating the A Team. Well Done Emma, Sarah
