It is always interesting when the A Team meet the B Team.
What a result for the B Team beating Wisbech to finish in fourth place. Of
course its not down to one swimmer, but the way Kimberley Van-Haren, shot
past the other teams (apart from the A) in her determination to win the
last relay with a split of 32.2 - well that's not bad for a 10 year old!
It was all down to that relay with the B finishing with 76 points and
Wisbech 75 points.
Can you believe that our B Team has a swimmer going to the
Nationals! Patrick Ikhena in a close race beat another of our
National swimmers Ben Pogson, to give the B one of their four victories.
Nathan Sargeant beat his mate Josh Van-Haren in the 50m Backstroke to give
the B another victory.
Swimmer of the Meet for the B Team goes to Mark Tebbs,
with two wins in the 15/u 100m Butterfly taking 8 seconds off his best
time in two months and Mark also won the 100m Breaststroke.
*****
The A Team just about wrapped up the League with Kings Lynn, beating City
of Norwich into third place. Boston are now four points clear of
Norwich so as long as we finish in the top three we will win the League.
City of Norwich always bring a strong team to the final and their
supporters put ours to shame, so hopefully we can win the final gala and
put Boston back on the trophy after two years of Norwich holding it.
Ben Pogson swam a PB in the 100m IM to get the A off to a winning start.
Elvjis Roberts won the 13/u 100m Free with a 5 second PB.
Joe Morris then won the 100m Breaststroke in a personal best time.
Sam Wright put in an out of skin performance in the 50m Free taking
seconds off his best.
Laura Swain took revenge beating Kimberley Van-Haren in the 200m IM as
Kimberley beat her at the Midlands - so a first and second for the club.
Alex French broke the cut off time in the 13/u 100m Breaststroke and of
course a PB.
Swimmer of the Meet is double winner Ose Ikhena, who
has struggled to find his old form but bounced back in style winning
the13/u 100m Backstroke with a 3 second PB and Ose also won the 100m
Butterfly.
Well Done,
