A great start by both teams with the A team winning and beating Kings Lynn
who fancy their chances in the league this year.
The B team also had a great result, finishing second to Louth who are
always up with the front runners.
Choosing the A team swimmer of the meet was not easy with a lot of good
swims and I'm going for swimmers that caught my attention on the day.
Kimberley Van Haren with a time of 1.21.49 in the 15/u 100m fly and
another PB in the 200m IM.
Oliver Street gained a PB in the100m free with a time of 1.15.57 and I was
impressed with his 2nd, 3rd and 4th length all recording the same split
time.
Swimmer of Meet, however, goes to Amelia Murfin. Again
it was the pacing of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th length, all being the same speed
in the 13/u 100m fly resulting in a time of 1.25.46 and Amelia also won
the Breaststroke.
Well done to Alex French and Heather Guy both gaining County times.
*****
Although the B team had a great result, we struggled to win many races.
Winners were Patrick Ikhena in the open 100m IM, Joe Morris in the open
50m breast in PB.
Swimmer of the Meet goes Josh Teague, winner in the
15/u 100m back in new personal best time of 1.20.29.
Well Done,
Ian
