Team The A team finished in third place behind Peterborough and two points behind Grantham, so the two disqualifications cost us dearly. It was nice to see the B team also finishing in 3rd place and with NO disqualifications. It is very hard for the club to have a gala the first week back, but both teams performed very well. 14 Personal Best times in the B team and 9 in the A team showed how determined the swimmers were to get the right result. So well done to both teams. I was getting bit worried that we had forgotten how to WIN. Michael Craven won Event 3 but then we had to wait until Event 22 when Susannah Yielding won the13/u 50m Butterfly. More wins then followed with Natasha Berg in the 10/u Freestyle and Michael and Susannah each winning the 12/u 50m Breaststroke. . Oliver Street and Rebecca Craven both found victory in the 11/u Breaststroke. Two swimmers broke the cut off time - Michael Craven in the 13/u 50m Backstroke and Oliver Street in the 11/u Breaststroke. My Swimmer of the Meet goes to Michael Craven with 2 wins and three PB's Well Done, Ian |

| Well done to all those who took part in the gala. There were some outstanding performances by many swimmers considering we had just come back from a long summer's break. A special well done to the following swimmers who gained 1st position in their races; Laura Swain in the 50m Backstroke; Jordan Butler in the 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke; Zach McDonnell-Woods in the 50m Backstroke; Amelia Murfin in the 50m Freestyle and finally Kieran Edmonds in the 50m Butterfly. The Swimmer of the Meet could have gone to many swimmers, but the swimmer who stood out the most was the swimmer who gained two wins in one evening - Jordan Butler. Jordan swam the 50m Breaststroke and completed it in a time of 44.13 seconds and also the 50m Freestyle in a time of 36.73 seconds. Well done! Congratulations to you all! Beth |
