Swimmer of Meet

A Team at Wisbech

What a great night the A Team had at Wisbech!

We had a clear victory winning with 160 points.  Our nearest rivals, Saxons, trailed in 2nd place with 136 points.

Boston looked strong throughout and I felt that all the swimmers gave their best efforts in their races and showed great enthusiasm all night.

There were many wins and PB's during the evening with Michael Craven and Mantas Kniveskis being double winners.

Swimmer of the Meet goes to Michael Craven, who on the night excelled in his efforts in the 100m Individual Medley and beat the cut off time.

Well Done Michael,

Sarah

B Team at Boston

Well done to all those who took part in the gala. There were some outstanding performances by many swimmers considering we were swimming against strong opposition.

Many thanks to all of the swimmers who looked after the younger ones as it was their first gala.

A special well done to all those in the final event of the gala - the relay. Even though we finished in 5th position, ALL of the other teams were disqualified so we finished in first position!

On the night, Huntington finished 5th, Boston finished joint 3rd with Downham, Grantham finished 2nd and Peterborough took 1st position.

The Swimmer of the Meet could have gone to many swimmers, but the swimmer who stood out the most was the swimmer who got the only individual win of the night, Molly Wright.  Molly swam the 50m Breaststroke and completed it in a time of 43.76 seconds.  Molly was not very confident before the start of the race but she pushed on extremely well.  As soon as she had completed the race it soon put the smile back on her face!
Well done!

Congratulations to you all!
