Swimmer of Meet

Fenland Final
27th October, 2007

A Team

We went into the Fenland Final in fifth place and although we finished in fourth place on the night, we finished in third place in the League as we gained more gala points than City of Cambridge and Saxons in the earlier rounds.

We started in great sprits with both Jack Featherstone and Rebecca Craven swimming personal best times in the 100m Individual Medley and also in the 13/u 50m Butterfly.

Natasha Berg lowered her 50m Freestyle time down to 37.72 seconds.
Thomas Tamberlin and Brandon Witham both swam PB's in the 10/u Freestyle and 25m Butterfly respectively.
Pippa Wilson held the Club together by swimming 4 events, including a personal best time in the 50m Breaststroke.

Experienced swimmers, Reuben Reed and Laura Swain, both produced personal best times in the 13/u 50m Backstroke, their only events.

We were struggling to find the wins that we needed and had to wait until event 18 before Ben Warren gave us a win in the 50m Backstroke in a personal best time.  Ben also swam a PB in the 50m Freestyle.

The next swim by Harriet Housam was a super PB for 50m Backstroke in a time of 38.84 - a 2 second PB!

Then event 27 saw Michael Craven winning the 12/u 50m Breaststroke and Susannah Yielding doing the same in the girls event.

Amelia Murfin won the girls 13 years 50m Freestyle and Hannah Macleod won the 10/u 25m Butterfly.

Swimmer of the Meet goes to double winner, Michael Craven, who's second win came in the 12/u 50m Butterfly in another PB.

Well Done,

Ian

B Team

Well done to all those who took part in the gala.  Excellent team effort and support.  The atmosphere of the B team was fantastic, keep it up!

There were some good performances by the swimmers, with Kieran Edmonds managing two wins in the 50m Freestyle and 50m Breaststroke.

The Swimmer of the Meet is going to go to Jordan Butler who won the 11 and under 50m Backstroke in convincing style in a time of 43.61. Well done!

Congratulations to you all!
