It was certainly not an easy task to pick my swimmer of the meet from this gala. Out of 50 races, 10 were relays and only 7 swims were not best times.

I was impressed with Jordan Bulter as the selectors were not sure whether to swim him in the 25 fly but not only did he win, he smashed the cut off times. No points there then.

Joseph Howe had a good 50 backstroke race and was another through the cut off time.

In all, 15 swimmers broke the cut off times so lots of points went missing, which is why we finished in fourth place despite the good swims.

It was a team who impressed me the most however.  The girls swimming their first ever gala in the 9 years Freestyle Team, and achieving splits of around 22 seconds. Therefore my Swimmers of the Meet are the girls team of Megan Sargeant, Megan Coleman, Megan Edmonds and Eleanor Careless.
